The International Registry of Midwives (IRM) Terms and Conditions
The International Registry of Midwives (IRM) does not offer any money-back guarantees. You acknowledge and agree that no refunds will be issued for any purchase under any circumstances.
IRM does not guarantee practice rights following a successful application and exam. Legalities and practice rights vary globally, and it is the practitioner’s responsibility to ensure compliance with local regulations. IRM ensures that candidates meet or exceed the required standards at the time of examination and throughout the certification period but does not supervise or guarantee the performance or safety of certified practitioners.
Membership and exam fees are non-refundable. All exam fees must be paid in full, and application documents approved before taking the exam.
Certifications must be renewed every four years to remain in good standing. Complaints against an IRM-certified practitioner will be investigated, and certification renewal may be denied based on the findings.
Conference, workshop and retreat fees are non-refundable. If an event is canceled or postponed, the fees paid will be credited to a future IRM event of the registrant’s choice. These fees can also be applied towards future exam fees if the registrant chooses not to attend a future event, or future events are not available. The fee can be donated as an exam fee credit to another student or midwife.
IRM is not responsible for airfare or other costs incurred.
Unless stated otherwise, housing and two meals per day are included in conference and retreat fees, as well as speaker sessions, workshops, and CEUs.
By registering and submitting payment for an exam, membership, or conference/retreat, you agree to these terms and conditions.
