A traditional birth attendant is a skilled member of the community who is dedicated to safe birth practices and is trained to attend normal uncomplicated births. IRM values traditional birth attendants serving a large majority of the developing world as a reliable resource to women worldwide. It is our hope that by training well-equipped traditional birth attendants, we can reduce the maternal death rate around the globe. This certification is reserved for indigenous Midwives and birth attendants in developing nations.
