International Registry of Midwives Annual Conference and first ever held in the USA! Join us for 5 days/6 nights of Humanitarian and Missionary centered Midwifery education focusing on practice in developing nations as well as strengthening your skills for use in your home country.
You do NOT need to be certified though International Registry of Midwives in order to attend our workshops. All Midwives, students and Traditional Birth Attendants are welcome!
This conference and workshop is like no other! We will spend our days together learning and mastering all types of advanced skills needed when working in low resource settings. If you are already a Midwife serving in developing nations or feel the call to become a global Midwife, you don’t want to miss this event.
You will leave refreshed having spent 5 days with sister Midwives in a beautiful retreat center right on the beach!
You will be trained in several internationally recognized programs as well as taking part in many valuable skills labs that you will use in your practice at home and abroad.
This conference and workshop will be taught by leading Midwives and Physicans from all over the world who are dedicated to improving Maternal Child Health on a global scale.
The cost for this conference is $1500 and includes housing at the beach retreat, with check-in at 4 pm on March 22nd, all days / nights of the conference and checkout at noon on March 28th. Breakfast and lunch is included on conference days- March 23-27th. Additionally we will host a welcome dinner on arrival day, March 22nd at 7:00pm.
A deposit of $500 will be due to reserve your space. The next payment of $500 will be due on July 1, 2021. The final payment of $500 will be due on January 15, 2022. If you register after July 1, 2021 a deposit of $1000 will be due and the balance of $500 will be due on January 15, 2022.
This conference is limited to 75 participants, reserve your space early!
If you were registered for the 2020 Ecuador conference that was postponed due to COVID travel restrictions, please email us to discuss your registration for this conference. You are automatically registered unless otherwise discussed. If you are unable to travel to the United States, you can postpone your registration to our 2023 conference that will be held in Ecuador or Mexico.
There will be no refunds issued for this workshop. In the event of cancellation, your paid fee will be transferred to a future workshops of your choice or towards your CIM exam fee, if you are a CIM applicant and do not wish to use the credit for a future conference.
The closest airport is approximately 17 miles away and there are Taxi and Uber options available from the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport to our location. The exact conference retreat address will be provided to you upon registration.
You will be housed with fellow Midwives in bunk rooms. Space is limited at this conference location and while your family is welcome to join you at the beach during downtime, we do not have room to house them. You would need to make alternative child care and housing arrangements for anyone you are traveling with, that isn’t a paid conference participant.
This retreat center is located directly on a private beach in Panama City Beach. Once you arrive from the airport, there will be no need to drive or leave, unless you wish to do so.
Breakfast and lunch is included, but dinner is not, with the exception of the welcome dinner on March 22nd.
If you have special diet restrictions or requests, there is a place to list those during the registration payment process. After you enter your contact information, just before you enter payment information, you will see a box for diet restrictions.
You are welcome to buy groceries and use the commercial kitchen at the retreat center, there are also many meal and grocery delivery options in the area or you can use a service like Uber to leave for dinner.
This retreat center has a large indoor meeting room as well as a large deck overlooking the ocean, to be used for breakout sessions and relaxation at night. An outdoor pool is also available for your use.
